The mission of Corazón is building Community by strengthening families, enabling service, promoting self-sufficiency and inspiring mutually beneficial relationships across borders.
At the heart of Corazón lie notions of community and advocacy. In order for a community to thrive, it must have family support. In order for a family to prosper, it must have community support. The two are intrinsically bound together. The idea of Corazón is to provide a sense of community in which all families within it can help themselves while helping others.
Corazón enables these families and individuals to go as far as their hard work and dedication will carry them, leaving their dignity and self-esteem intact.
Corazón is unique in how it structures its program. Corazón does not offer handouts, it offers a hand up. It is a community development organization that offers opportunities through its Communidad Corazón program.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive, two-and-a-half-day leadership training program for high school juniors in District 5300 chosen for their leadership potential. In addition to the development of leadership skills, RYLA is meant to develop understanding of Rotary among youth participants and reinforce and provide recognition for their efforts, accomplishments, skills and potential as leaders. Rotarians serve as facilitators to the students’ learning and discovery, as well as role models of Rotary ideals of the Four Way Test and Service Above Self.

Rotaract is a service organization created by Rotary International in 1968.
It is available to men and women between the ages of 18-30 who are interested in making a difference locally, nationally, and internationally.
Rotaract not only creates an outlet for helping others but is also designed to develop leadership qualities among members through service and fellowship.
Rotaract is different than Rotary in many ways as the organization caters to younger individuals as well as is involved in a larger number of projects throughout the Rotary year.
